Annual Report & Audited Accounts was submitted on 1st April, 2009 through email & by Post. Perhaps Ludhiana Branch is the first Branch in the whole country to send the Audited Balance Sheet as on 31.3.2009 on 1.4.2009 at 2PM. Got letter of appreciation from Chairman of NIRC in this regard.

Yes Duly submitted to the HO on 1st April 2009 along with audited Balance Sheet.

Stock statement & Sale of Publication   
 as on 30-04-2009 duly submitted to the Head Office well with in the time.

ACTIVITIES FOR MEMBERS

1.

Seminars/Lecture Meetings/Conferences

CPE Seminar on Issue relating to Section 68-69 of Income Tax Act was organized. CA. Naveen N.D. Gupta was the speaker on the occasion.

Workshops/Training Programme/Study Circle Meetings/Residential Refresher Courses

For the first in the history of Ludhiana Branch Study Circle Meeting was held on 18th April for 3 CPE Hour on Issues relating to TDS

2 hour 30 minutes Workshop on " Filling various forms under MCA-21 " was organized on Dated: 25-04-2009  Dr. Raj Singh,  Registrar of Companies Punjab, Chandigarh & H.P. was the Chief  Guest at the Program

Awareness Programme for public in English/local language.

Participated in Awareness drive started by President of ICAI & in this direction held discussions with Newspaper giving appeal to people to vote & elect suitable candidates.

Computer Awareness Programme for Senior Members commence on  20-04-2009 is going on successfully at Branch.

No. of industrial visits for students under taken up during the year

Planning is going on to organize such event in the month of May 2009.

Branch Newsletter

Branch Newsletter for the month of March 2009 was duly sent to all Members. The Newsletter was also sent on electronic mode to the members, students and to various dignitaries of the City.                   The Newsletter contains latest news of professional/Branch/student activities.

Branch regularly updating Members/ Students with its website and SMS facility. Branch Web site is being updated every alternate day and contains latest news of professional/Branch activities.

Branch Website (www.icailudhiana.org) regularly updated. Last updated on 30-04-2009 with links of Agra International Conference, Campus placement program added.

Representation to Central Council by way of

Branch Chairman/ Members wrote     E - Mail to President ICAI, Vice President ICAI and Chairman NIRC to give suggestions from time to time, which were responded positively by various august offices.

Many Members of the Branch is registered with the PDC, CPE and other portals of the ICAI and regularly benefited with the updating.

Every Activities of the Institute timely displayed on the notice board of the Branch as well on Branch website www.icailudhiana.org.

Cultural Activities

• Celebration of Chartered Accountants’ day on Ist July
• Celebration of Diamond Jubilee through the year and adherence to guidelines issued by the Central and Regional Council from time to time, in this regard.
• Research activities taken up during the year through the Regional Council.
• Involving members and their families.
• Any other activity (including sports event(s) with another organization like Income-tax/ professional body).

N.A. Celebrated the same in a big way in July 2008.

During this month also the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations at Branch continued. Every Seminar/ programme was organized in such a way so that the Diamond Jubilee year becomes more memorable to one and all.

Library Activities

News papers & magazines are also introduced in the library. Furnishing of Library undertaken during the month.
E-Library is working fully in the Branch. New CD,s has been introduced during the period.

New Batch of IPCC will commence w.e.f. 08-05-2009.

Whether the Branch has obtained accreditation from the Institute for 100 hrs. Compulsory Computer Training Course at the Branch IT Lab.

Around 30 Students successfully completed their I.T. Training during this month.
